Held on Thursday, 25 July 2024, the Garden Banquet Room warmly greeted new Members and their spouses, along with their proposers and seconders.
With over 70 attendees in attendance, this particular New Members’ night held special significance with the presence of the newly appointed Club Chairman Niam Chiang Meng and Deputy Chairman Ashok Kumar. General Manager Elliott Gray delivered the opening address to all new Members, introducing both the Club’s General Committee Members and the management team.
Lively conversations were heard all around the banquet room. The cocktail dinner officially began, tantalising appetites with a lavish spread of food and beverage. The new Members sang praises for the delightful dinner offerings, which included exquisite canapés, roast beef at the carving station and the iconic local favourites like Laksa.
A three-piece instrumental band provided soothing jazz music to enhance the evening’s atmosphere, while each department of the Club had a booth to interact with the new Members, offering interesting orientation of the Club offerings throughout the evening. Members were acquainted with upcoming golf, sports and social events at the dedicated booths.
Members were also introduced to the Club’s culture as it encapsulates the essence of what makes Tanah Merah Country Club stands out. The Club is not only a place to play golf or relax by the pool, but a strong-knitted fraternity that values camaraderie and excellence in all aspects.
The Garden Banquet Room buzzed with excitement as conversations flowed effortlessly. We trust that our new Members felt the warmth and inclusivity of the TMCC family and are looking forward to engaging in the Club’s forthcoming events and activities.
