Tom Daley, Greg Louganis, Fu Mingxia or our own Jonathan Chan. Renowned and inspirational divers, they are.
The Club was not out to mould such divers, but to inspire participants and ignite their interest in this wonderful sport of diving. One of the beauties of diving is that one can explore the submerged world and encounter marine life of all kinds. Not to mention the health benefits that come along with this sport.
Called the Bubblemaker Programme – Diving Introduction, the event took in seven participants.
The pre-requisite: aged 10 years and above and must be confident in the water.
The two-hour session on May 27 was thoroughly prepared.
After registration, it was an introduction to the various diving equipment and a safety briefing.

The participants were segregated into smaller groups to perform the dives with the provided equipment.
With the gears properly fitted, the “special seven” started the dives from the shallow end and graduated to the deeper end.
The most interesting aspect was to see them communicate with each other underwater using sign language.
And they were certainly blowing bubbles.
