Call it variation, innovation, or a bold twist for excitement. This is a golf competition like no other.
For FUN is the main ingredient with the Ladies Social Discovery Challenge held on Nov 21 at the Garden Course.
And it is an exciting blend of a friendly golfing competition which calls for teamwork and creativity.
Each flight was equipped with a Discovery Challenge Kit, filled with clues and riddles to solve as they played, adding a fun and interactive twist to the day’s round.
The golf game was played in a Four Player Texas Scramble format, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable experience for all.
The weather provided a rare respite, despite November’s usual heavy downpours. The sun shone brightly, offering a much-needed blessing for the lady golfers, with no interruptions from inclement weather.
The green speed was recorded at 9.7 feet, offering a smooth yet challenging putting surface where putts roll quickly but remain manageable, making it ideal for a competitive round.
So armed with their mobile phone cameras, the ladies embarked on a fun-filled golfing adventure, identifying key elements of TMCC Garden Course, including vibrant flowers, plants, golf course stanchions, and iconic landmarks.
The challenges also included taking wefies with the Garden Club Façade and the plaque honouring the Club’s Golf Course Designer, Robert Trent Jones Jr.
In the end, there was plenty of talking points for banter with the brains ticking.
Above all, solid ammunition for a good laugh, in the spirit of holiday fun.
