TMCC Staff Honoured for Remarkable Act of Integrity

On the watch

In a day often bustling with routine and responsibilities at TMCC, it is heartwarming to know that the small acts of kindness and integrity that occur amidst the daily grind are not overlooked.

We shine a spotlight on two exceptional staff members from TMCC who on two separate occasions, went above and beyond their roles to find and return a lost watch to the rightful owner.

Moganadas A/L Raju, Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor

On one occasion, a guest who was using the Golf Changing Room at Garden Course realised that his Rolex watch was missing.

Moganadas from the Housekeeping Department was the on-duty attendant that day when he was approached by the guest who appeared worried.

Understanding the significance of the lost possession, Moganadas assisted the guest in retracing his steps and initiated a thorough search on places that the guest might have misplaced his watch.

Hours of unceasing effort finally bore fruit as Moganadas found the missing Rolex watch inside the remote-control compartment of a massage chair.

Unfortunately, the Rolex watch was found almost hidden beneath the remote-control compartment which made it impossible to reach.

Promptly reaching out to the authorised vendor for the massage chair, he requested their assistance in dismantling specific components of the chair which led to the successful retrieval of the watch.

The guest’s gratitude and relief were palpable, as the Rolex watch held immense sentimental value for him.

Iris Tay, F&B Outlet Executive

A seemingly inconspicuous moment can often lead to extraordinary outcomes. For Iris, a staff member of the F&B Department, this moment came when she stumbled upon a misplaced smartwatch left unattended at the Tampines Golfers’ Terrace.

Her immediate response was a testament to her righteousness and unwavering commitment to her responsibilities. She safekeep the watch while waiting for the arrival of the rightful owner, understanding the potential significance it held for its owner.

Hours later, a Member, who had earlier enjoying his lunch at the Tampines Golfers’ Terrace, eventually made his way to the cashier counter. His exclamation echoed with both surprise and relief as he revealed that his smartwatch had slipped from his grasp, forgotten amidst his dining experience.

The smartwatch was returned to the Member which sparked smiles of relief and gratitude. The smartwatch held a considerable value, exceeding $500 which any dishonest person could have kept it as their own.

In recognition of their outstanding display of integrity that ripple into meaningful impacts for Members and guests, they will receive a Spot Recognition Award.

The Spot Recognition Award acknowledges TMCC staff who exceed their usual job duties to enhance the organisation’s overall excellence.
