Tanah Merah Country Club (TMCC) has long been known for its commitment to excellence on the course, and now, that same standard extends to where members store their gear. The newly completed Trolley Bay Storage enhancement at Garden Course brings a fresh level of function and refinement to an often-overlooked part of the golfing experience.
Previously a basic shelving setup with only metal railings to secure trolleys using personal locks, the storage area has been completely transformed. Now, fitted rows of dedicated lockers provide members with secure, personal storage that reflects the quality and prestige of one of Singapore’s premier golf and country clubs.
The enhancement works began on 2nd June and were completed within a month. The redesign also maximises capacity: where there were once 70 open bays, there are now 96 individual lockers, each arranged with top and bottom storage to make the best use of available space.
To further enhance the experience, the aisles have been fitted with fans to ease the sweltering heat, ensuring members remain comfortable even during peak hours. Security has also been significantly upgraded, with the facility now under 24-hour CCTV surveillance, offering added peace of mind when storing equipment.
Beyond increased capacity and improved safety, the new system offers a cleaner, more streamlined look and a user-friendly experience—elements that align with the Club’s broader commitment to providing a first-class environment both on and off the course.
Annual rental is priced at $283.40 (inclusive of GST) for one golf trolley, with no pro-rata options. Trolley storage is offered exclusively on a yearly basis, and as of writing, 30 lockers remain available for rental. Members who wish to secure a locker can do so through the Garden Golf Office.
Prior to the upgrade, the facility saw an average daily usage of 62 trolleys. With the improved layout and added security, demand is expected to rise as members recognise the value of the enhanced setup.
It may not be as exciting as holing a putt for eagle, but a thoughtfully designed trolley storage solution can quietly elevate a golfer’s experience. With this latest upgrade, TMCC continues to show that attention to detail is par for the course.
