A Fun-filled Golfing Experience Despite Inclement Weather
On 13 April 2023, the Tampines Course was abuzz with excitement as the TMCC Ladies’ April Social took-off with an overdrive. The game format for the day was a Shamble with 2-lady teams. This format made the competition more fun and exciting as each player is required to hit a tee shot, and the team is to select the best shot to play from until it is holed out.
The event saw the unwavering participation of 14 teams, and the energy was palpable. However, as the day progressed, the weather took a turn for the worse, and stormy clouds gathered over the golf course. Despite the inclement weather, the ladies were in high spirits and continued to compete with great enthusiasm.
The rain that followed did not dampen the mood, and the teams soldiered on, putting in their best efforts. The Shamble format has proven to be a hit with the participants as it adds an extra dimension of excitement to the game in which players had to exercise strategic gameplay and elevate their coordination with their teammates.
The ladies had a wonderful time and the spirit of camaraderie was evident throughout the day. Most importantly, the participants left with a sense of satisfaction and achievement.
