Tanah Merah Country Club (TMCC) has strengthened its international network with the addition of Pinx Golf Club in Jeju Island, South Korea, further broadening Members’ access to one of Asia’s most distinctive private golf destinations.
Established in 1999, Pinx Golf Club features a unique 27-hole configuration comprising the East, West, and North Courses, designed by American golf course architect Theodore G. Robinson. The East and West Courses are laid out in a links-style concept and are reserved exclusively for members, while the North Course is open to public play.
Set dramatically between Mount Hallasan and Mount Sanbangsan, the course delivers uninterrupted panoramic views of Jeju’s volcanic landscape from every hole. Its intelligent routing incorporates a balanced mix of draw and fade holes, offering a varied and strategic test that rewards precision and creativity.
Widely regarded among Asia’s top-ranked layouts, Pinx Golf Club is also acclaimed for its exceptional turf quality. Clearly defined fairways and roughs ensure consistently excellent playing conditions throughout the year, including winter, when the course notably retains its vibrant green playing surfaces.
The course is thoughtfully routed through mature, tree-lined corridors and enhanced by natural water features, creating a layout that is both visually striking and strategically demanding. A standout feature is the par-4 9th hole on the West Course, which requires a bold carry over water to a green protected by a winding hazard that flows into a pond, producing a memorable risk-and-reward finish.
Complementing the golfing experience, the clubhouse—designed by renowned architect Itami Jun—offers a refined setting with panoramic views across the course and Jeju’s oreum (volcanic cones). Floor-to-ceiling windows allow Members to take in the changing seasonal landscape, from spring blossoms to autumn tones across the fairways.
Additional facilities include a sauna overlooking the course, providing an elevated space for relaxation and recovery after play, as well as a well-appointed pro shop featuring a curated selection of golf equipment and apparel.
